There are different versions, some are completey made up and based on Lovecraft's fiction, the Simon version is correct but has the wrong sigils and the 1586 version by John Dee is the one with the correct sigils. But the point to remember, it's an allegorical book based on raising the kundalini. It's not supposed to be read as a historical source or to summon any beings within. You'll probably not understand the allegories within if you are not familiar with the symbolism of the chakras and kundalini. Some of the names within are also powerful mantras and can be vibrated for magickal purposes or to empower chakras.

Yes. You need to educate yourself in spiritual alchemy a bit, then you can see it for the valid source of Power it is. For one, its a good alchemical guide as I found out, teaches you things about magick if you can observe it the right way. For two, the names and words are legitimate words of power that can be vibrated kabbalistically for a certain purpose. It has been written in the JoS e-groups over and over.
