The Transatlantic slave trade stands as one of the most well-known slave trades in human history, a colossal and inhumane enterprise that spanned over four centuries. John of Gaunt also has the striking eyes of these others we have looked at, with the heavy lids and high dark curving eyebrows. His mustache and beard is dark. He looks neither Anglo, Saxon, Celtic, Gaelic, nor Scandinavian, does he?
