The Black Moon â€" our personal shadow[/B] I wish to mention that the main source of knowledge is the book by Piotr Piotrowski, though as a Satanist I also provide my own comments. Enjoy! Introduction[/B] Astrology is fascinating, with all her facets, and each and every one of us who studies it not only to find the proper time to cast a spell or conduct a ritual, will see that it is first and foremost about understanding the whole universe, for we as a human species are not only the reflection of this universe but also a part of it. Apart from the 10 Planets and 6 mathematical points (Asc / Dsc and IC / MC axes with the Northern and Southern Lunar Node), there is also another mathematical point that is indicated by the elliptic orbit of the Moon, and whose importance can, in fact, be greater than some may think. It is commonly called ‘Lilith’. For the sake of this article, however, I will use the name ‘Black Moon Lilith’ to denote the subject discussed.   Although we should remember that the Gods are real beings, the myths about Them do not necessarily have to be blasphemous, even if They are depicted as ‘evil’ (e.g. Seth, Lilith). It is solely my own opinion that in the Hebrew myth Lilith is rightly depicted as a liberated woman who shall not be subservient to man, and will not forfeit the feminine for the sake of masculine. This is by far the very reason why it is She who is considered the epitome of ‘evil’ that a woman can display â€" of course, according to the abominable kike race.   Astronomical existence[/B] As stated before, I am writing about a mathematical point, which was researched for a long period of time and whose influence has been taken into consideration for a serious reason. I need to mention, however, some other objects who were also named after Our Goddess. 1) Algol â€" Beta Persei. A binary ecliptic star system composed of actually 3 stars, of which Algol A and Algol B are the essential ones. In occultism, one of the Behenian stars, called the ‘Demon Star’ by the Arabs and the jews. In Arabic it was called “Ra’s al-GhÅ«l” â€" ‘The Head of a Demon’. The jews, of course compared this star to Lilith (or sometimes to Satan) because, according to their fairytales, She was the 1st Demon, and a female â€" I believe further explanations are needless. 2) 1181 Lilith â€" an asteroid travelling the main Asteroid Belt, between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Astrologers are reluctant to use it in their charts, and the explanation of the asteroid is more associated with the ‘1st wife of biblical Adam’, which again indicates jewish myths. Nonetheless, Demetra George indicates some aspects of the asteroid’s influence, namely war and conflict; she states that it is “an intermediary as a higher octave between Mars and Pluto and expresses the issues of personal sexual force and suppressed anger.” (Honestly, the same but more in depth analysis is provided by the actual Black Moon Lilith in the Black Lunar zodiac sign and House).  3) Dark Moon Lilith â€" an alleged invisible satellite of the Earth, located 3 times farther than the Moon. In order not to confuse the actual Black Moon with this one, it was therefore called the ‘<em>Dark Moon</em>’. Other names of this hypothetical body are Waltemath’s Dark Moon, Sepharial’s Dark Moon. I’ll write a bit more about it. It is claimed that the Dark Moon was known in Antiquity, i.e. in Ancient Egypt and was named after the Goddess Nephthys as the reminder of condemnation and embodying the cosmic forces of evil. It was allegedly (re)discovered in the 1st half of the 17th century (there are some discrepancies as to the precise date) by a Jesuit Giovanni Battista Riccoli from Ferrara who was researching it, yet the case of the Dark Moon was abandoned, albeit only for about 4 centuries. At the end of the 19th century Gordon Waltemath returned to the studies of this elusive body, alas it wasn’t accepted by the astronomical society, so it wasn’t until 1918 that Sepharial undertook the research again. His efforts were supported by an American astrologer Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson. Sadly, Goldstein-Jacobson was oblivious of the fact that Sepharial’s ephemeris were highly inaccurate; the discrepancies ranged from 2 â€" 40 degrees). A jesuit and a jewess, do I really need to say more?  The actual Black Moon is the 2nd focal point of the Moon’s orbit, depicted below (the Earth is the 1st focal point). From my research I learned that the Black Moon has been discussed as early as in the Middle Ages. http://www.astro.com/im/in/blackmoon_e.jpg Mythology[/B] Now, whereas almost everything what I’ve read refers to the talmudic story of Lilith, I have tried to look for some other explanations of the mythological concept of Lilith. It is clear that the jewish fairy tales are nonsense, ripped off from other mythologies and mixed with denigrating image of Lilith being subservient to a fictitious jewish archetype, yet rebellious and disobedient enough to be called the embodiment of all the vices of females. This is obviously the jewish perception of Her. Some pieces of evidence concerning (mythological) Lilith may be seen in the tale, entitled “Innana and the Huluppu Tree” in which the spirit of ‘lilitu’ nested, and has been banished by Gilgamesh. Angry spirit of Lilith destroyed the home of Innana and enraged, fled to the wilderness. Taking into consideration that the lilitu demons embody the ‘dark’ side of sexuality (tagged that way by the patriarchal jews), it may be symbolic of banishing the wild and untamed sexual feminine freedom. It may be that the concept of an emancipated women is the product of a patriarchal society, yet as long as we live in this reality, we can learn its language so that it could be comprehensible to us now, and when we acquire this knowledge, we will pass it onto our descendants in the Satanic way. Perhaps in a couple of decades the empty focal point will not longer be called ‘Lilith’ but will have some other name? As for now, however, people will call it by Her name. Astrology[/B] Some technicalities: it remains in a particular zodiac sign for about 9 months, and being the opposite of the Moon, the Black Moon’s sign of dignity is Capricorn, sign of exaltation â€" Scorpio, sign of exile â€" Cancer, and the sign of detriment â€" Taurus. The Black Moon, being the antithesis of the ordinary Lunar energies displays negative traits. It shows our primal fears, as opposed to instinctual unconscious drive leading us to form relationships, and primal nature which has been rejected and thus not integrated, in contrast to emotional safety. It is here that the Black Moon displays her Uranian features, yet this kind of freedom is very different in that it is an unconscious drive to be separated from our psyche. As for the manifestation of the Black Moon’s influence, her energies are displayed in a more concealed manner in male’s chart (difficulties in relations with females in general), and conversely â€" females tend to be more aware of it, since it is more integrated with their psyche. This is not very surprising as females are naturally more psychic thanks to the grater neural connections between hemispheres. It all comes down to the fact that the area of life where emotional comfort is hardly, if at all, provided. It is caused by us renouncing our dark side, the things which we do not wish to consciously integrate and thus we suffer because of it â€" things, aspects of our psyche which are considered ‘sinful’. It is obvious that the more xian the mind of a person, the stronger the negative influence of the Black Moon. And here it is comparable to the particular zodiac sign in the 12th House, which is said to contain the residues, issues of the previous incarnations. Thus the Black Moon indicates which areas of life and issues have been neglected in the previous incarnations and we have to deal with them now. Therefore the Black Moon as well as the Nodes indicate some karmic, unresolved matters. In the karmic astrology the Black Moon shows the position of the Moon in our previous incarnation â€" the position which is now, in the present incarnation, a destroyed, an exiled one. This is not about the sign in which the Black Moon is, but about ourselves, our needs which have been neglected and now demand satisfaction. If the needs are not satisfied, they turn into a powerful driving force and take over our lives, causing various neuroses and other mental illnesses. Apart from the negative influence of Neptune (tight aspects to Saturn for instance), the Black Moon is more personal and her influence can be all the more devastating, especially when she transits the ascendant â€" there can be some major events in our life (not necessarily destructive). As far as internalisation of our suppressed elements of psyche is concerned, they are aptly compared to saliva and blood being outside of our body. What we consider a part of ourselves inside of our organism, when seen outside of it, is though of as alien, distant from us and disgusting. By rejecting it, the facet of ourselves which does constitute our integral part, we feel desolate and thus suffer. Sexual problems[/B] As the Black Moon deals with sexuality (the Moon being the positive, maternal side of the feminine and the Black Moon its opposite, a destructive aspect of sex), if the energies of it are not properly channelled, it can cause various neurological dysfunctions like masochism, sadism, sexual neuroses, the foundations of which are provided by the individual’s having committed a ‘sinful deed’ (pre marital sex, masturbation and such). In other words things perfectly humane (the author also points out fetishism or group sex but as Satanists we are free to have sex as we want), so again we see the real evil one here. Also, being an indicator of our primitive nature and immaturity, the Black Moon is responsible for sexual violence and rape. What is more, the sexual aberrations may display itself in the relationship between parents and children, where the child is either raped or beaten if a parent is convinced that violence is the only pedagogical means to bring up a child, which later on lays the foundations for the child being a pervert or a rapist. One not only teaches children how to live, also how to punish â€" and we have a recipe for the endless string of violence. Sexual failures can also be the reason behind one being sadistic towards others, and there are many faces of sadism. Suffice it to say that each and ever one of has the Black Moon in our chart and we can have some inclinations towards it, yet they can be displayed in a various manner â€" the will to dominate others, abusing others, making people dependant on ourselves, etc. Whereas homosexuality can hardly be called an aberration, since it is Satan who chooses what kind of gender and orientation we shall have, conditions for people, especially men, becoming homosexual â€" or rather when the person can feel with his or her whole being that he or she is homosexual â€" can be created by over-protective and/or possessive mothers, whose children identify with them so much that eventually they begin to look through their mothers’ eyes. As for the Black Moon’s influence on men, they can suffer from ejaculation dysfunction or impotence, caused by psychic barriers or traumas, stemming from some convictions of either women who have too high expectations or of men wanting to test their virility. Females on the other hand may fear becoming pregnant, which results in sexual frigidity. This also concerns abortions or miscarriages.  Twisted maternity [/B] When a child is born, for a moment after leaving the mother’s womb it is united with her via the umbilical cord. But after it has been severed, another cord is being formed, a psychological one. And since the sound maternity is symbolised by the Moon, its aberration is the domain of the Black Moon. It may display itself as either lack of interest in the child’s upbringing or conversely, mother’s overpowering personality which completely dominates this of the child. Other examples include gynaecological issues like inability to become pregnant, miscarriages, or even stealing babies. Upbringing pathologies[/B] They are inevitably related to the maternity and fatherhood issues, and the negative influence of the Black Moon is expressed either  by daily domestic violence or emotional rejection, more common among men. Feminism[/B] I’ll skip it, since it is here that the Black Moon and Lilith meet. Being a feminine planet and a rebellious one, it is clear why it was called after the Goddess. Black Moon’s influence on dreams [/B] Positive sexual dreams are more associated with Venus, Mars and Neptune. The Black Moon, however, can show us our own deepest desires, so hidden that we may not, and usually aren’t, aware of them therefore they may seem to be horrifying. It is not unusual to feel terror when we experience it. Carl Gustav Jung stated that it is only via the dreams that we can reach our unconscious and by veering inside us, find out what is is that we need to work upon. Other dreams, on the other hand, may signify a need to change, transform, inevitably followed by the need to suffer. Obviously it is not the suffering for its own sake like xianity preaches it, but the positive pain which strips us of the unnecessary dross. The dreams are usually of the underworld â€" this symbolic is typical of the transformation. Not to look too far, in all the myths of the Gods they had to go through the nether realm to be reborn. The motif of going through the underworld, our own personal nether realm, is actually the key to comprehend the fact that the Black Moon can be beneficial if properly worked upon. Studying the descriptions of the Black Moon in the zodiac signs and the Houses, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1) the influence the Black Moon has on us can be compared to the particular zodiac sign in the 12th House, since it shows the area of life in which we have been deprived of something. 2) as for the Black Moon in Houses, this resembles Uranus in particular Houses, for the Black Moon has some sort of unpredictability, spontaneity so typical of this revolutionary planet.   3) the issues and facets, indicated by the Black Moon, if not satisfied and integrated with our psyche can turn into an energy which can wreak havoc The Black Moon in the Signs[/B] I will not write about the interpretation of each Black Lunar zodiac sign simply because I am not a qualified astrologer, let alone an astrologer. I will, however, mention that the particular zodiac sign indicates the area of life which has not been developed or may signify some contents which has been brought to this incarnation from the previous one, thus becoming our fear, obsession or ill attachment and a powerful drive that influences us greatly.   I encourage you to find your own Black Moon (in the Extended Chart Selection section on www.astro.com) I recommend the following link to read about the 12 Zodiac Signs: http://sanjaperic.com/2009/02/22/all-about-lilith/ The Black Moon in the Houses[/B] http://lilith.tribe.net/thread/a8f93941 ... a000134c23 http://astrologystudy.blogspot.com/2011 ... ouses.html Those Black Lunar Houses’ descriptions I personally found relatively precise. It is up to you, however, to decide how they match you. Do not forget though, this is merely a part of the whole which we as Humans embody. Conclusions[/B] Why should the Black Moon be used in our natal chart? The answer is simple â€" it shows our dark side which we may not, and usually are not aware of. Pluto is compared to the unconscious mind of the whole human race, whereas the Black Moon is our personal darkness that we carry inside. It shows our potential weakness, that we can overcome and reach what we long for in the way that is best for us and the way it should be. It is so much essential because sometimes the Black Moon may totally take over our life and lead to our demise. Its influence can be compared to that of Uranus. I strongly believe that the Black Moon is a fascinating object which can unveil things that have been hidden and show us our own way to reach liberation from the trials of it. This can be achieved by looking at the opposite sign of the zodiac (e.g. BML in Gemini can be overcome by the positive qualities and features of Sagittarius). It can be said that the sign opposite to that in the Black Moon shows the solution (as such it is considered an axis challenge-solution), our liberation, thanks to which we can get what we so much long for.   Reference:[/B] Piotrowski, Piotr. 2007. “Lilith.
