Silver is reputed to be a insurance in the myth and legends against what were considered Vampires. This could pertain to jews, who are like ticks in many ways. I will illustrate the common elements between the two below.

Silver in itself is an allegory. Silver is the metal ascribed to the Moon in spiritual alchemy. The iron cross (equal-armed cross) represent the soul in complete balance/harmony. The four quarters having the same dimension represent the four elements in this state, with the centre being the fifth that holds the elements and the soul together.
