sudden retrogade

what happens when a magick square of a planet is being done and then during the process the same planet goes into retrogade??will the effects be negative?

You are fine as long as you started the square when the planet was direct (not retrograde). If the planet went retrograde after you started the square, your square is still valid.

I'm assuming you started something before a planet retrograded and then it went retrograde.

If you started it before it's fine.
