Splitting the Sould

I was wondering why do we need to split the soul how does this help us?

..Hail Satan!! It is basically when you practice putting your consciousness into other parts of your soul, like your light body, your astral body, your aura, etc. Being able in extending your consciousness can help you with projecting these bodies and mediating on them which leads to further advancement. But, IMO, you should be way past the intermediate level before starting this.
