Hello brothers and sisters!
I myself am a reasonablt new Satanist (have dedicated about half a year ago, and
have been meditating for around a year') and I'm starting to get the basics of
meditations and witchcraft (magick).
Now I am starting to study Sigil magick (no sources inside JoS Im afraid) but I
find it extremely interesting.
I have always been attracted to talismanic magick forms and charging amulets
with certain celtic patterns on them has almost come naturally for me.
About Sigillum veneficus (sigil magic) I'll try to explain the methods I have
found from a very helpfull e-book.
To start, the will is very important in this magick, as in all forms of magick.
1. You think of a goal which you truly want, but is not too great to achieve.
If something takes the entire universe to revolve the other way just for you. It
is best to forget.
2. Once you understand this, think of a line on which to base the entire sigil.
For example : My will is to earn large amounts of many very fast and easy, this
is all mine to keep in a happy way. Leave no holes, because energie is like
water in a cup. Any holes, and it is sure to run through.
3. By example you take the 1st, 11th, and 20th letter of the sentence.
In this case M-E-A. You can shape these letters together to form a basic sigil.
Add any art that speaks to you (art is from the soul) and perhaps words or
chants in any language. As long as you truly understnd them and they SPEAK TO
YOU! A sigil is at first just a drawing that is made for manifestation in the
mundane world for your energy.
4. Sigil is drawn! Huzzah! hope it's a work of art that you like alot. But the
original goal should not be recognisable in the sigil itself. This is so you
don't focus on the goal too much, the sigil is made for the purpose already so
it is extremely subtly charged with a purpose now.
Next step is to make a mantra. This time we will charge our own mantra's.
Perhaps you know the rhyme ''Hickori Dickori dock, the mouse ran up the clock.
The clock hit one and the mouse ran down. Hickari Dickari Dock!'' Hickari
Dickari Dock was originally a mantra from an adept.
From the words My will is to earn large amounts of many very fast and easy, this
is all mine to keep in a happy way. We will take some keywords.
Will - Attract - Money - Happy.
From these words we could make: Yppah Yenom Tcarrta lliw
which could be pronounced as : ippa yenom tcarra illi
There, a homebrew mantra all of your own. It doesn't resemble the original goal
so it doesn't overkill the energy and distort its path.
5. Draw your sigil in the appointed colors for the goal (green for this specific
one), write down your mantra.
If the drawing doesn't look right, doesn't matter as long as it feels right.
If it takes more then three tries, abort and try again at a later time when you
feel better.
Ok, sigil and mantra written down, now is the time for preps.
Light some incense and a black or white candle, check the moonphase(important in
ANY magick) and place a large candle in front of you(the white or black one) and
a smaller one in front of that candle.
Try to achieve a trance and keep visualising the sigil, or do an open eyed
trance and stare at the sigil. While focussing, repeat your mantra over and over
again. Going faster and faster untill all you hear is a quick, nonsenical
sounding noise. At the end clap your hands ( this for the ones without ritual
equipment, ringing the bell is always good too) to symbolise the vibrations
leaving for the astral.
Burn the sigil(yes, no matter how beautiful it came out. This might feel bad for
a sec after all your hard work but it's necessary) and keep quiet about it!
Not oly in the sense of keeping your mouth shut about it, but also your inner
voices shouldn't fret too much over it.
Meditate a while to let the energy you charged into the sigil flow calmly again.
6. do the most mindnumbing thing there is... Watch Tv.
There it is, my own guide to sigil magick.
I always place the name of Father around my sigil, so I ask for his blessing in
this work, but I don't believe sigillum magick is from a particulair religion.
