Seeing the aura question

I just started practicing on seeing my aura around my hand. I hold my right or left hand out in front of me, in front of a black curtain. What I see are these filled in outlines of my fingers, they reach past the length of my fingers and when I focus enough, I can see the color vaguely. In front of the black curtain, the color seems to be a very dark midnight blue, it's a blue for sure, but it's a dark nearly black blue.

Is this color normal to see in the beginning? Is this color a positive one, that is okay to see in the aura?

I'm excited to be seeing the outlines and colors around my hand, as I've been working on opening and empowering my third eye lately, and seeing these lines, from what I've read, is an indicator that my third eye is open and active.

Yes, it is quite natural. Most people tend to see only black color for start, and if your aura is blue, then you are progressing.
May i suggest to try seeing energy of the moon, it is very radiant and beautiful.

Hey, I did it just now and I got the same thing too. Dark indigo, but the longer I stared the more opaque the color became.
