We are different in that we have to hide for our own security, however someone who is "fine" with the world around them and still has these problems would better fit the actual definition of Schizoid.
The above-described symptoms appear more autistic-like in the sense that the individual has various obstacles preventing their emotional integration/interaction with their peers. These obstacles are found in the body/spirit itself, whereas the obstacles you and I have are external to us. We don't want to interact with clownworld activities in our environment because they are dogshit and degenerating to health, not because we are unable to interact well with our peers.
