I need help I live Uganda(EastAfrica) but am confused with the holidays the equator passes through Uganda meaning we aren't in northern hemisphere or southern hemisphere and we are not so much in the middle merely the equator passes through Uganda....

Hi there. What I did when I was living in Kampala was used the Southern hemispheres celebrations. If you're 5 centimetres South of the equatorial line then you're in the South. If you're 5 centimetres North of the line then you're in the North. Bear this in mind... The equatorial line serves as a man made guide to establish separation of the two, (North and South, "top" and "bottom") halves of the earth based on it's pivot (angle of moving tilt) as it orbits around the sun and celebrates the two stages of a day (day and night).
