Greetings, I also have never seen that quote on the homepage.
As for an interpretation on it, striving to do "only good" takes away the manifestation of justice in many cases. There may be times where those who wronged others may be corrected by positive means but generally doing what is just and right rather than what is "good" is always the best way to deal with various issues. For example it may sound "good" for many parents to allow their children watch cartoons on a phone while they eat (so that they don't cry etc) but the right decision is to try to teach children to eat without having to watch a phone 24/7 even if they might cry at the beginning a few times. It is just an example but everyone can see doing what is "right" takes more work and sacrifice but is also far more rewarding and healthy. Unfortunately many people follow the quote above and prefer the easy way out, and as a result they are the ones who suffer or have to deal with various consequences later on.
