There could be a number of reasons.
One being that there's a bad entity in the house. Or they're trying to scare you off so that you stop using the ouija board so that you can't get in contact with whatever you try to get in contact with.
I have a question, what was the reason why your friends needed to use an ouija board?
Its good to get in contact with demons but if you don't have a reason for contacting them, the entity might get upset.
