A life entombed by walls of stone, a reality warped through mangled noise, addiction trailing close behind.
A decade and more of overindulgence, trapped in a cycle of decay, and of withered aspiration.
First a spark, then a fire that once burned ever so bright. A wildfire set ablaze, then choked out.
No wind to carry the smoke afar. Clawing away at the darkness, scarred by the creeping night.
Great clouds of ash loom over, blocking what light remains. Stars fade, lost, within the void.
The ground shudders, fractures, and splits apart. A crevice forms, tearing deep into one's heart.
Despair springs forth from the hollowed depths, the world drained of its color. The earth crumbles beneath my feet, and I ready myself to fall...
