problems with meditation....

i am pretty new to this ive been a satanist for a couple of months and have recently dedicated my about a week ago... i have recently opened my 3d eye and have been working on awakening my crown chakra... the problem is when ever i try to meditate i can't enter a trance and keeping getting my thoughts into repeat either on a song or some random though, no matter how hard i try it wont stop till i give up on meditation for the night.... i even try chanting my GDs name but there is still that though in the back of my head... if any one know what to do plz help...

Try focusing on your breathing, counting your breaths, being aware of the entire breath, the inhale and exhale and their start/end, mentally saying the mantra "sat" on every inhale and "nam" on every exhale e.t.c. Do this for 10 mins or until your mind is clear and then continue with your normal power meditations. Its a basic meditation the buddhists do and is effective on getting rid of those damn thoughts.

You could also sit a while and observe your thoughts until they wear off, but being detached from them. You'll see that more thoughts will keep coming and after a while they'll stop completely.

Lastly, it depends in what position you meditate. If you lie down you'll get those thoughts and makes it hard to concentrate and you fall asleep, at least for me. You should sit in a chair or something with your spine straight.

I'd say, work more on calming your mind. This may be an attact from a hostile entity. If this is the case, calming your mind and ignoring the errant thoughts will do the job. This may take a while - MAY, not MUST.

The other thing that you can do is to finish the thought, i.e. if the thought is a song, an erotic one or whatever - if it is a pleasant. But do not let yourself be overwhelmed, so to say, by those thoughts - our own fantasies are the worst drugs sometimes...

OR tell yourself that you will finish it later.

Anyway, if you study JoS, you will learn more and more, thus being able to cope with yourself, your mind ans the hostile forces.

I want you to forget about "trying to go into trance" and "thinking of nothing" This seems to be the problem with everyone thats new...its oky for your thoughts to wander, as you advance... void meditation wil help bring this under control. Void meditation with the eyes closed is also very importand and seems to be neglected by few. The next time you meditate do whatever you do to get ready and then RELAX... start breathing as if though your sleeping... it should make a soft hissing sound, like very soft snoring. If you choose to count your breaths then do so by being "detached" from your breathing. In other words, dont force your breath to stick to your count, follow your breathe with the count and maybe you will only be able to count to 3, thats o.k. Notice the short natural pauses after each inhale and exhale. Keep it SOFT. You might not even know your in a trance until a noise sends a painfull shock trough you., with this method trance can creep up

Breathe ALOT!! Take about 3 seconds each inhale. Breathe as though you are inhaling a Shining light, up to your crown, and out through your feet. i had the same issue, Just keep that breath going throughout your meditation and you'll do just fine!
