Hi everyone, I hope you are well, well I want to start meditation but I notice that I have a concentration problem so I might as well start with Void meditation but my mind does not want to be quiet, I can't meditate and be at peace with it, help me please, thank you all.

First, try not to think about anything for 10 seconds. If you succeed, increase the time by 10 seconds each time. Your concentration time will improve gradually.

It's normal, it's like learning to ride a bicycle, keep doing it, the result will come.

It's mostly about persistence and perseverance. The mind being sort of like a muscle requires constant training to reach higher levels of performance.

Give it time while doing the work and you'll be amazed by the result.

Also it is unrealistic to expect total silence, that comes much later even for experienced meditators.

Relax and enjoy the process, growing and developing any ability is beautiful.

practice, practice again and again it will come.
tip: if a thought insists on you, do not block it by trying to forget it, on the contrary let it devour you and it will go away by itself. the goal is not to let it disturb you but to accept it passing through you, otherwise it will make the meditation annoying and it will make you angry and end the session.

an example: it's like being in the metro, there's a lot of noise but we're not really disturbed and we concentrate easily, whereas when there's no noise, the slightest little noise like whispers makes us angry.

Vibrating a mantras or runes does wonders. Even if the mind is distracted you can still vibrate the sound and it will help you enter a trance. I use the following a lot: Tuning Chakras Through Vibration. Out of everything on the JOS site this is my favorite. Rather than ignoring your thoughts try to focus them on something.
