Near Death Experiences

I've seen numerous stories online about NDE's. Some see Jewsus, some go down a dark tunnel, and then there are different ones just where they see a spirit world. Can someone that is more experienced in this explain to me what is happening or how or why? Has anyone seen our father in a NDE?

The NDE's have nothing to do with reality, they are solely based on your brain and your subconscious. This is obvious from the cultural differences, Western people where xianity is dominant see jewsus, the xian concept of "hell" but you can't really say the same about Indian people who see Yamraj (the Hindu god of death) exactly as their religion describes him sitting in an office with 2 guards or the Thai people who see "Yamatoots" (messengers of death). Also, people who have negative emotions at this time tend to have more negative NDE's than others, only those who expect dying have NDE's, and NDE's happen BEFORE one is clinically dead when their brain is still functioning, contrary to what many people think. Not to mention only one in five people who are close to dying haven NDE's, and there's such thing as Fear Death Experiences where people who are afraid of dying experience the same thing as a NDE but then they realize that they're alive and this experience immediately stops. My brother for example had a surgical operation and was clinically dead for a hour or more and nothing happened to him, no NDE or anything like that. So I guess this confirms the atheist view that once we die there's no consciousness or something?
