I try to buy local and support local producers too, I believe these small actions act to shift the mind toward healtier shopping habits - rather than going to a mega-shop (most likely a jewish company) selling fake natural producsts.
Of course this is not always possible but I believe this is the future for us - if everything would be local we would not have Jewish China producing thing for all the world and exportin on enormous oil-burning vessels daily - also Hitler encouraged local production and wanted Germany to be fully authonome (he achieved, if I am not mistaken, over 80% of production authonomy).
Beware as I have seen popping around "natural" soaps and products that contain 10% of natural products and 90% percent chemical - somehow harmful - products. There's no precise law here and people can sell a product naming it "natural" even if it's natural only in some small amounts. Tricky market.
This is an Italian website but I think it is quite reliable (except for Fluoride - we all know it's extremely harmful for us) gibing red/green rates for harmful/safer ingredients.
Try to avoid SLS/Parabens/EDTA/paraffine, etc.

Hope this might help to choose.

My bad about the Dr. Bronner's soap. I forgot about the bible verses on the packaging

I only recommended it because it's like, $3.99 where I get my soaps. That's on the cheaper end of the scale that I was going for.I"ll have to try using apple cider conditioner on my hair. I figure it is cheaper then using conditioner, but my hair is dry and a bit coarse so I have to use a moisturising shampoo.I like buying local when possible when it comes to cosmetics/skin care/soap, to support local soapmakers and founders/creators/distributors of essential oils, soaps, creams, ointments, etc.

Vitacost.com has many natural products and they're cheap.
I have to say "boo" about Dr. bronner's- a popular Castile soap brand- because bronner's is a jew and the label is covered in bible verses! Plus it is watery! And overpriced! For the Castille soap I've tried and honestly it's only been 3 brands; I recommend dr. Woods. Thick and nice smell.
. I've been using castile as a shampoo for months and it has worked just fine. It is very drying to the hair due to its ph level but that is easily remedied by following with an apple cider vinegar rinse or really any conditioner.
