Money workings and the economy

There is one small thing I am confused about. It is said that if we do money workings we can protect ourselves financial from the coming economic collapse. I am confused because if we are doing workings to attract money to us and THEN money comes to us how is this suppose to help us given that a crashed economy means that no money would be circulated and money will be useless...

Shouldnt we focus on financial safety and security when it comes to having resources available at home when this happens? I hope this makes sense.
