Metaphor of Cronus

AvatarDarkAries1 min to read

In pre-socratic greek Cronus was the persification of time itself. Time, that sooner or later devoured everything, even the gods, one by one(f.e. Goya's painting of it), until Zeus bested him. And with His victory, humanity could live, without the fear from time. Without the fear, that what they do, build or accomplish would crumble to nothing.

Or at least thats how I see it, but correct me if Im wrong

“Out of life's school of war—what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger.”
“Have I been understood?—*Dionysus versus the crucified*.—“

I think this is related to the question of the duality between chaos and order. Victory over time will generate order. “The flow.” In astrology, time is ruled by Saturn(Order and discipline). Because the effect of time cannot be defeated, only managed. And managing time is the basis of order.
