I like Yoga with Adriene or Yoga for BJJ as my main sources. If I slack off for too long ... it does not go well. Yoga helps with every area of life, for me personally at least.

Yoga is essential for the health of all bodies. I'm seeing in the poll that too many men here are not doing Yoga; start as soon as possible, for maximum advancement.

Once you start doing it every day and build a solid routine, you will see how necessary Yoga is for you; it becomes like food and water, you cannot live without it.

There is a 1 percent for over 2 hours a day…. Jsyk..

As a Kundalini Yogi, bare minimum do sat kriya. Peoples sexual energies are so imbalanced this is an absolute game changer. 5 minutes a day and requires hardly any space.

Even in the face of great adversity, DEFY ALL ODDS

I've never done Yoga, but I do a full body stretch routine regularly. I'm pursuing Wing Chun, so I do the basic form Sil Lim Tau, & I used to mix a long form Yang style Tai Chi video in there, but I'd stop from knee pain periodically. The Wing Chun form is a slow one like Tai Chi. The only other related thing, is when I work out at the gym, I make sure to do the full motion of the rep & return very slowly. I've never been interested in Yoga & would have to learn about it & how it connects to spirituality. I would guess it's related to meditation like the martial art forms are.

Based on your answers, I do suppose that newer souls are also not as drawn to yoga as an older soul would be, yes? We are also told to listen to our intuition in terms of spiritual practice, so would these people still benefit from going against their "desires" and just gritting their teeth and doing yoga anyway - or would they benefit more from the other practices you are mentioning?

Not necessarily, there are lots of newer souls who do yoga, although mainly because it's trendy among women. And they do benefit from it. I'm not sure about going against their desires, since nearly everyone feels better from physical activity, so after a while they do come to love it, especially if they go with friends to a class. Social aspects help many people, I usually do yoga on my own and in a more spiritual way but for the masses, group classes are usually beneficial.

Also, since you are counting Qigong, Tai Chi and what not as sort of yoga substitutes, does that mean they are categorically inferior to yoga, or do they also have aspects of the soul they serve better? I am asking as someone who has never done Qigong (unless we count some basic Microcosmic Orbit exercises from Mantak Chia's books that I incorporated into my practice) or Tai Chi.

They are not inferior, I have made a lot of progress from those that I did not gain from yoga :) But overall, it just depends on the individual, some practices are better than other practices, not because one method is inferior to another. We just need different methods.

I’ve been planning to do the yoga positions that you listed out on your series for each chakra, according to the chakra’s day. Would that be a good routine?

Yes, and you can add any asanas you enjoy to do daily. I have a few that I do nearly every day because I love them and feel great after practicing them.

I can't not do Hatha yoga. Like, I feel very bad if I do too little. For example, health problems arise, mood swings, headaches, etc.

I do about 60 minutes a day, and I only do this because I must get other things done, like rituals, workings, and meditations

I'm the same. Any time I'm "off", it's because I have not been doing enough yoga.

Hi
Can't select an answer on the poll for some reason but about 10 mins daily.

Thank you.

Thank you :)

I'm not able to answer the poll. I do about 30 minutes of yoga daily. At the moment I'm focusing on whats called intelligent movement to loosen my hips so I'll be able to sit in Siddhasana for longer while meditating and also hold other asanas correctly.

Thank you :) For intelligent movement, have you looked into Somatic yoga? I am working on a post about it.

Thank you for this High Priestess. I have some physical limitations right now and this bed routine is perfect.

You can find more on youtube, if you need some variety. Just type in keywords like "easy yoga for in bed".

If I slack off for too long ... it does not go well. Yoga helps with every area of life, for me personally at least.

Yes, same for me.

Yes, I occasionally do over 2 hours, but that still counts as over 1 hour, which answers the questions I needed from this poll :)

High Priestess Lydia Coventina, i was doing yoga before, the basics anyways in the 40 day meditation program from our High Priest Zevios Metathronos. I ended up getting lazy and allowing my routine to fall apart mediation structure and yoga. I am in the midst of getting a structured routine down with the opening of the soul meditations, on day 4 so far and going strong. I believe and have this feeling and pull that yoga will be NECESSARY for me, even though when doing the basics there would be pain. This is my fault on not stretching before though which i take accountabilty on, working and before doing the yoga positions, i mean i had a dream i was doing yoga, before i even started it back up. The fact that this happened when i have never had a dream of doing yoga in my entire life is the evidence that i MUST do it clearly. The only thing i can think of is it being the guidance from the Gods and my Guardian Daemon.

Can yoga for root chakra pierce the granthis blocking it, and same for other chakras and their granthis?

#28

I started out just doing Hatha and I'm now doing a customised version of yoga, weights/benchwork and calisthenics.
I got a cold last year and really noticed not doing anything for about a week. I think most people have their own personal workout routine. But I always welcome any advice here about these things.
There's always something new to learn here🤔

Gradually yes, but the meditations will be useful to do as well. Yoga overall does raise the consciousness and allow one to see beyond the mundane (Muladhara granthi).

I admit I never do it, but I know it's important to one's flexibility, circulation of energy through body and soul and many other things

All I do, I do it for our Temple.

Thank you :) For intelligent movement, have you looked into Somatic yoga? I am working on a post about it.

Yes I'm doing exactly that - specifically a set of slow movements in seated poses that rotate the hips, loading them with some body weight, etc. I look forward to your post about it; it will be really interesting.

The reason I started looking for something lighter to do is that basically holding seated positions turned what should've been a yoga session into a workout, due to the tightness in the hips and the difficulty remaining straight with a natural spine position.

I'm also exploring yin yoga for "emotional release" and I intend to pair it with the SHRIM mantra working that you posted about on Healing the Emotional Body to achieve the full emotional body purification. I thought that pairing these would help the body process any trapped emotion more smoothly and faster. Do you think this is an optimal strategy or should do something different? I wonder why I was guided to do this even though I haven't experienced any serious trauma in my life.

For difficulty sitting straight with natural spine, have you tried sitting on a cushion or folded blanket?

Yes that routine sounds great. We often have trauma from past lives stored in our soul. For example if you're a man, you likely had to go to war, endless marching with no basic comforts, sleeping on the ground, watching your friends get killed, being away from your family for possibly years on end, and possible prolonged suffering from injury and illness.

Yes I'm currently using a cushion for sitting in Siddhasana otherwise without it when in easy pose.

Thank you for bringing this to my awareness I'll be more careful to perceive/spot possible past life traumas.

I don't do yoga just occasional stretches and qi-gong, although i do have a yoga mat i got a while back in preparation for whenever i did intend to practice it, I just haven't found a routine that would good for beginners, i get overwhelmed by many of the poses and purposes that different yoga's give like on the KY yoga page has all the different bodily systems its good for i don't know what to choose and then i will opt to find a qi-gong video to follow along with instead.

If I do Hatha for less than 50 or 60 minutes, I'm left with the feeling that I haven't done enough.

I think I’ve solved my problem with yoga. I reflected on why I had stopped practicing yoga to focus on dyana. I realized that what bothered me most was the disruption in concentration when switching asanas, as well as how sore and stagnant my body felt. So, I decided to practice Dyana in just one asana so that I wouldn't lose my focus.

We know that we're all going to eventually get old. I was thinking of a yoga that could be devised for the young and elderly.
I was recently looking this up online and I came across Lyengar Yoga, and was surprised how popular it actually is. It's a form of Hatha yoga thst focuses on proper alignment and precise technique. This is something practised by beginner, experienced, young and old.

Iyengar, not Lyengar. Capital i. This font is limiting, capital i should have a line on top and bottom to differentiate it from lower case L.

The problem with so-called "proper alignment", it neglects the individual anatomy. Yoga poses need to be modified for the individual. I have books by Iyengar, I've quoted him a lot and recommended his books quite a few times. His books have greatly helped me, but learning more about anatomy and yoga further deepened my practice and my teaching.

Thanks HPS Lydia Coventina 🙏

I haven't done yoga for a while, yesterday after Lord Ningishzida's ritual i had the feeling and thought to begin hatha yoga. Did the HPS Pythia routine except for inverted asanas, and it was wonderful, i have now seen your post for the Bed yoga and I'm eager to try that too.
