Hello,
I experienced atypical psychosis for five years. My doctor did not diagnose me with schizophrenia. My symptoms mainly consisted of persecutory (harm-related) and referential delusions/paranoia, as well as some negative symptoms such as social withdrawal.
Since I have never experienced hallucinations, I believe my condition may have been related more to an imbalance in my lower chakras being underactive rather than my upper chakras being overactive or excessively stimulated. I am currently in remission.
Even though I am in remission, can I practice chakra development meditations? Someone here told me that doing chakra-opening or chakra-development meditations during or after a psychotic condition could worsen psychosis. In what way could it make it worse? At this point, I hope I will never experience hallucinations.
After thoroughly cleansing and balancing my chakras, would it be safe for me to practice chakra development meditations? Since Kundalini Yoga is said to amplify unresolved issues within the psyche or spirit, does that mean I will never be able to practice Kundalini Yoga, even if I remain in remission for a long time?
I would greatly appreciate your response. Thank you.
