Meditation As a Newbie

abhag04941 min to read

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to clarify a bit about meditation.

Is it normal for me to be experiencing Lower Spine Pain along with my body heating up?

I recently started meditating after a 2 year break from practicing with Qi-Gong. But I've never actually sat and did a bunch of breathing exercises while sitting.

So, I sit for about 15-20 minutes breathing and all. Then after 11 or 12 minutes I think I tend to heat up really fast and my Lower Spine starts to pain a lot. But I simply ignore the pain.

Is the pain normal? What does it mean? Or Am I doing something totally wrong?

This is a sign that your kundalini (which is at the base of the spine within the root chakra) is awakening, or already has. This is a positive thing, so don't worry. Joy of Satan has a link or two you can read up on about it. it describes the same symptoms you are describing that is happening to you during your meditations.

You may be doing too much too quickly have you gone with the recommendations from the 40-day program cleanse your chakras do your aura of protection 2 minutes of void meditation with your eyes open  twice a day for 3 or 4 days then add 5 round of yogic breath twice a day then add chakara spinning a fews days after that with increased  reps of yogic breath anyways the point is to start slowly and build up so you don't overload your nervous system
