Hey everyone, what does the north/south node mean? On my map, there's an extra north node with a T inside it. Does anyone know what that means, please?

I posted the question incorrectly in another post (sorry, I'm still learning how to use the forum).

I almost forgot, there's also a symbol for Chiron, I don't know if what's said about it on the internet is correct.

Hello Brother or Sister !

The North Node and the South Node are the points where the Moon’s orbit intersects the ecliptic. They are symbolically interpreted as the direction of growth (North Node) and patterns or resources from the past (South Node).

1 . True Node (True North Node) – some programs label it differently, using a modified symbol or the letter T. It takes into account the actual oscillations of the nodes .

2 . Mean Node (Mean North Node) – this is a version calculated as an average, without oscillations .

Thank you for your reply. Do you know what it means to have the symbol of Chiron?

The "T" should mean "True Node". I think it is the North node. North node points towards, I think, "Fate/Destiny" "What to move toward". And the South Node is something like your "Comfort Zone", maybe past life Karma stuff. Someone here once said their GD told them the south node was more like a board of spikes and the north node is something to aim for.

You'll have to do some more research on it, should be some good posts about them.

You do not have an "extra north node".

There are only Two Nodes.

The North, and the South.

"T" is used to denote the exact mathematical position of the Lunar Nodes.

All that matters is the direction of the symbols.

Ascending Node - North Node ☊

Descending Node - South Node ☋

The intersecting paths of the Lunar Orbital Plane and the Ecliptic Plane determine the locations of the Lunar Nodes.

The Dragon's Head - North Node ☊

The Dragon's Tail - South Node ☋

Meaning, the two are not 'as one' but, 'part of one whole'. One body.

You are both the North, and the South. The Head and the Tail.

The Ascension of the Kundalini Serpent along the Sushumna from Base to Crown.

Self-Actualisation gives way to Self-Mastery.

Walking the Earth to reach the Heavens.

Future - North Node ☊

Past and Present - South Node ☋

South is the Past, North is the Future. We must not chase our tails.
For we live in the present, not the past. And walk to the future.

South is our Comfort Zone.
The known and familiar.

North is outside our Comfort Zone.

The unknown and unfamiliar.

Comfort, which is contentment, is a silent killer.

It lulls us into a false sense of security. For no comfort is forever.

There are times when comfort can feel a distant memory.

But its transient nature is what makes comfort so pleasing.

That it is only for a while, and not forever.

For if it were, we would not know comfort.

Hey everyone, what does the north/south node mean?

Greetings, Brother or Sister!

Here some of my observations with nodes:

Node axis is one of those axis showing your path: from where you come (SN) and to where you are going (NN). Other related axis is 4th/10th or IC/MC respectively. Thus SN represents things that are resulted from the past: talents, gifts, genius, yet also karmic debts, past life experiences including traumatic ones, issues of all sorts coming from the past, karmic relationships or whatever to the better or to the worse, everything that can be strongly fated because what is fated is what was decided in the past to be fated.

Example is a family you are born in, generally represented by 4th house and IC. As well as your motherland and your culture. These things people tend to think we do not choose, while they are a result of some past, since any nowadays is a result of some past. They are the part of a path we have already trodden so now the way behind us may look like a "given". Yet to the one who looks at the time axis as yet another one of many axis and sees it in all its length altogether he might have said that everything was once a choice. And the choice was what made it a given in the next round. Current IC might have been once MC, and current SN might have been once NN in some distant past. So that now it shows up as a legacy.

The investment into a good cause becomes talents and luck, while the investment into a bad one becomes an "given" issue or a karmic situation you get into "despite your will" and stay there until you solve it. But to invest into anything you need some energy with what to do it. This is usually given to you by your past: the wisdom and the energy to invest. This is provided by the side of fate as well. Fate is not good or bad it is neutral as all forces in nature. Yet since humanity tends to destroy itself, people usually are suspicious of everything from the side of "fate".

NN is a greatest thing ever given: an opportunity to become better. It is a path that is your possible future, your possible next life, your potentiality and opportunities. All our greatest pursuits to serve humanity, to change the world, to self-realize in profession and in our cause. Our sense of life it is called exactly because the sense of life is to realize your best potential. Life is all about self-realization, and MC / 10 house axis and NN are the peak of it showing your most possible path to it. As every path upwards (and as everything that fills you with purpose) it is harder than sitting where you are already, thus it includes Saturn as symbolic ruler of 10th house.
