Hm, Richardlester, you should work on your pineal gland, I believe. Along with your crown chakra, and 6th chakra maybe... But the pineal gland is the most essential for vivid dreams (I don't know about lucid) and the like.

That's what it means, being aware and being able to control them. I believe Egon is mistaken, you can control them. Read the book "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" by Stephen Laberge for more info on these. PDF here:

There are loads of guides on this if you simply type it into any search engine... And no, it is not a way to contact the Gods. Think about it. You're in your own mind when you dream. It is not like astral projection.

It is possible to contact the Gods in a lucid dream, but indirectly. Inside a lucid dream you can open some gateway to the astral plane and travel in it. Astral projection isn't the same as a lucid dream, but both are connected and related. Robert Bruce in his book Astral Dynamics has described a way of doing that, where you create or go to a store inside your lucid dream and you find a door or an elevator and you imagine that that certain door or elevator will transport you to a specific astral realm if you open it and go inside.

I used to be able to control my dreams when I was really young. I used to do anything I want and be aware that I was dreaming. but through my upper teenage years I wasn't able to anymore. Im not quite sure why it became so difficult become aware again in my dreams. It was many years later where I was able to do it again. Recently I am able to have lucid dreams but only from time to time. Does this has to do with me empowering myself as to why I am able to have lucid dreams again?

Hectic. So, when you're in your mind and in that ultra relaxed but still "conscious" state you can use that to exit your body? That actually does make sense and I feel a bit stupid for not realizing it. I would guess that in a lucid dream you also have easier access to much more of your mind. And being in a world where anything is possible, all this can come together to make projection relatively easy. OR, is it more of connecting to the astral, and kind of remote viewing it in a way? Or perhaps both are possible.
