That isn't really Synesthesia.. Synesthesia is when you can taste something specific colors come to mind, often irrelevant to what you're tasting... or you can see visually see a sound when you hear it, etc..
What you're talking about there is just inferring information about an object or touching it psychically. Synesthesia is a mixing of certain senses.
