The kike doctor eisenberg, inventor of ADHD, admitted on his deathbed that it's a fictitious disease.
Having an active mind isn't a defect or a disease. It's a part of who you are. It may not be helpful in some situations, but it is advantageous in others.
What's going on here is probably more that your mental self-control muscle is weak. Wanna take a guess at how you build muscles? By using them. With void meditation, in this case. Practicing focus will make you better at focusing.
I have an overactive mind too and find void meditation dreadful, because I'm bad at it and am annoyed at how bad I am at it, which leads to me neglecting it. But at the same time, doing it is the only way to get better, which means that the only way to fail is to not do it at all, and progressing in power without reigning in and directing that power with focus and concentration isn't gonna bode well for you if you have negative thought patterns(which everyone does in some way or another). It'll also be more difficult to channel your power into the things you want.
So there you go, there's your prescription. Void meditation. No need for drugs. Power drawn from outside of yourself is power that you don't own, and don't control. Better to build your focus & willpower muscle and have that power come from within.

Consistent void meditation. Even if it’s just 2-3 minutes at a time. I used to have a mind that wouldn’t shut up, but void meditation fixed that with time and constant void meditation.
You don’t need to go into a trance, just breathe and do your best to still your mind. You can find some breathing exercises on the JoS to help too. I also found the Dhyana mudra helped as well.
Maybe work on your solar chakra too to get rid of laziness?
