True withcraft is nothing to be frowned upon. This sounds awesome, only I must remind that most mainstream withcraft is false and pure blasphemy.

I aggree with HP Mac Friday on this, I had a history in witchcraft before Satanism. They claim the circle is to contain the energy, this is bullshit. Another point to make is they also say the circle will keep out everything, and keep in everything so how then when They invoke/evoke The Gods do they invite them in or any other helpfull spirits? It is like putting up a psychic wall. It also contains whatever energy you work with to concentrate it what if thats destructive energy? Lol noone really thinks it through. Many also have the main altar outside the circle and break it anyway going to and fro to get things. It's absurd. You contain and concentrate the energy yourself wether externally in a ball or object or internally depending on the nature of what you are doing. True Psychic power is also not promoted in mainstream witchcraft or wicca ... collect the right ingredients is all most spell books say do this and that and presto you cast a spell. Use common sense with anything think things through study and understand how energy and magick actually work and how your soul functions or should function eventually you won't need all the props and 'spells' casting a spell can be fun but with a powerfull Soul you go beyond that.

I've always seen witchcraft as a sort of un-refined science, it might work, but few care enough to figure out WHY it works; so I'd say no, if we are using it for discovery, tread lightly though. Hell for all we know voodoo magick might be nothing but manipulation of someones DNA using poppets. Again, I recommend being extremely careful, but part of the reason you are even in this group is for discovery, so do as you wish, perform as many spells as you want, but make as many observations as you can, then try and follow the rest of the scientific method, and you my friend are helping to not only advance humanity from the dark ages, but as well as helping your brethren here defeat mankind's enemies.
