Is this supposed to happen?

Heyo friends and family,A few minutes ago from writing this, I was working on opening my base chakra.I noticed that it was warm as it should be but then it became very hot and I could smell something similar to when you make something damp, very, very hot. Kind of like a musty burning smell I guess.
I've never had that happen to me before and I'm just wondering is that supposed to happen? My base chakra still feels warm now and is actually providing enough heat for me to stay warm in this cold weather without having a shirt or jumper on.

If it is uncomfortable or too much for you to handle, then you might need to slow down or use a smaller working for a while, until you are OK with increasing. Over-exerting yourself is not good.
