Interpretation Needed

hmmm well im not really sure this will be able to help you but by your BF's understanding of the story it clearly shows repressing emotions which can lead to mental problems, and by saying the bible is god speakin through moses...are we just suppose to take word from a guy that we have never met nor even have knowledge of his existence. I mean really its like taking word from a bum saying that if i close my eyes and suck on a rubber hose that somthing will quench my thirst...sorry for the vulgarity but i mean come on its basically the same thing......only my version is a bit...out there, but really its the same. The reason god never gives a clear anwser is because it makes sure he is "NEVER" wrong in a scientific point of view such as the prayer system. god anwsers prayers in the form of yes no and wait........this way u get what u want u get somthing less or u keep waiting....so? when do u get a clear anwser?NEVER!!!! i mean come on its setup so it has so many different meanings so that it never makes a clear point...i think i went off topic but somtimes it helps the situation but im not sure in this case i hope this does help u out im not sure plz let me know if it does =D   -Jacob Howard  Ave Zeus!!!!!

Subject: [Teens4Satan] Interpretation Needed

I need help interpreting this verse of the Bible to my liking. The one
that says something about the sons of god lusting after the daughters
of man. It is somewhere in the Noah story. My BF thinks this verse
means that people of his religion cant marry or be in love with some
one not of their religion. I keep telling him the Verse is about angels
who reproduced with mortal women, and that the bible can be in
terpreted in many ways. But NOOOO he doesnt listen! he says the bible
is god speaking, through Moses. Right Now an interpretation of that
verse is badly needed.... and no "god" doesnt even give us clear
answers of what he is even talking about!!! I also need an
interpretation that doesnt sound too Zevist, since he doesnt know. I
also want to murder who ever wrote that verse in the bible! The torture
would include deep friers, wax, choping their limbs of in to thin
slices like ham, and in the end, shoving a pole up their ass to leave
them to die

This is weird! This is really ironic actually! You the Zevist, are
actually interpreting the verse literally. The whole angle- humping
people idea is literal interpretation. Your BF's is the figurative.
Depending on the sort of Christian he is he may or may not view
everything literally. Some even switch between the two to fit their
purposes. Anyway, don't fret anything in the Old Testament, even
devout Christians will find that section way too mystic for our modern
day and age. Also, no matter what a Christian may claim the entire
Bible is arbitrary (Catholics will even say that!). Is was written by
hundreds of ancient people who had no grasp on science, and for along
time it was passed down by word of mouth. Sorry, but it's about as
accurate as Greek Mythology! (I'm ranting, sorry.) Have you even
heard of the Gnostic Gospels? They're the part of the Bible that
wasn't included in the main book. It was man who decided what books
to include in the Council of Something (I forgot).
Anyway the point is the Bible is an ancient text and should be
treated as such. It is not the word of God, just one culture's
mythology, and it can have so many interpretations it can make your
head spin!

lets see he does take everything literaly, even the stupid Noah flood, there is not enough water on this planet for this and he couldnt have had oxygen without trees! It is a definite fact the ashole who wrote that story didn't know about the oxygen cycle, or maybe is god was to stupid to tell Noah to carry flowers , bushes, and a little tree. However an Interpretation is badly needed, since you can interpret the bible however you like and my bf doesnt get it , he thinks "God" is speaking, and it can only be interpreted 1 way.
