Not to disregard the magnum opus or anything else but there is something people who talk about immortality in spiritual circles seem to be overlooking.
Advanced magicians of the past ages (prior to the mid 20th century) may of been more skilled than anybody alive today and yet never made it to immortality so it may seem like a lost cause or something we could easily doubt our ability to acheive. UNTIL you remember that unlike todays Satanic magicians our predecessors had no knowledge of cells and their regenerative faculties or genes. They may very well of had biokinetic skill but without knowledge of genes and cells couldn't have applied these skills at a genetic or cellular level.
Today the scientific knowledge of how ageing occurs is available to anyone who wishes to research it. Which is something I am thinking we should all do and as we advance in magickal skill (and biokinetic skill especially) can apply these powers to our genes. There is no reason immortality couldn't become a reality for anyone here who maintains a consistant effort in power meditations.

<td val[/IMG]   I completely agree with both of you Fire_Starter and Brian. But to be honest when I was replying to this, I did have something else in mind. Like DaVinci or people that were back FURTHER [1500 something] in the past, not the actual 20th century which was spiritually very dark and of course enemy dominated. Yes, lol eating a soup of metals will make you immortal. I don't know but this is extremely stupid. Maybe then they lacked so much knowledge but damn, this is freaking stupid. Also US as people, we shouldn't mix our fate and our purpose with these people, because most likely we're not these people. Everything is better now. Different. Who knows, there could be someone who had it right. But today we have so much information. So fuck the 20th century deluded idiots. I always hated such centuries, such supposedly 'spiritual' shit and how they pretended they knew anything but in fact they were drinking freaking metals.

HAIL SATAN!!!!!

The philosopher stone bringing immortality when you eat it idea was from the middle ages actually, not 20th century. And even those who believed in a physical philosopher's stone, there was a disagreement on what it was made of. Some thought it was vegetable-based, others having to do with minerals.

I understand what your saying but I think occult circles of former times knew more then we do about the occult and spirituality. Theres this tendency to think that we know more in our times then people did in previous ages. In some examples that could be true, however with spirituality I think we are still figuring out what they knew. Someone knew enough to create the Tarot cards which are like a guide to the magnum opus. Also its not like people who did achieve godhead/immortality would be able to simply reveal it to the world.
