I did the dedication ritual today

I almost never get the chance to be alone at home so I went to rent a room at a hotel. To make sure that there was no problem with the paper burning I opened the balcony window for air circulation and brought a kitchen plate to place the burning paper to not damage the floor.

Couple of things though is that I signed my name poorly with a toothpick, and may have done the ritual clumsily and for maybe less than an hour. My meditation may have been very poor.

If you did it and meant it then that's all that matters. Congratulations! Don't worry about the meditation part either- you are new. For most, meditation takes time and consistency. I would recommend to keep studying and learning from the website and there is a 40 day meditation training program by HP Hooded Cobra to start doing right away.

Not sure how one would sign their name with a toothpick. All you need is a pen with ink, and a drop
of blood. But if you did, somehow, manage to get enough blood to actually sign your name,
then congratulations! Most of us can't do that. Not without severely bleeding.

If you use the tip of an empty pen or one with a point (let me look up the name) a fountain-pen ... ???

(Do you remember what came after the feather pen)

Anyway those pens are made for spreading out the ink evenly. So you won't have a big blob of blood (or ink) somewhere as you write.. and you can write more. (And don't put the blood on the paper first .. should be logic).

Everyone's blood is different though.
