The most effective solution I can suggest to you is you can never go in guns blazing. You have to slowly scratch the surface, depending on how deeply programmed the subject is you can't fully expose them to the light immediately.
Here's a metaphor for you, near similar to Plato's allegory of the Cave. You're on the surface of Earth, basking in the light, full of awareness and Truth. Anyone and everyone who is brainwashed is stuck below the surface and quite possibly have been living their for years if not their entire life. Only knowing the darkness and never knowing the Light.... Those who live in the darkness, will naturally, at first, fear the Light. Because fear comes from not knowing, lack of awareness. Which causes irrational judgements because they simply can't think clearly.
If you bust open a big hole for your underground friends making a big portion of the light come through. They're immediately going to run away, natural instinct. Which is why I said you have to slowly and slowly scratch the surface. Taking your time with very meager tactics, simple non confronting questions with simple answers. When you scratch the surface enough to have a tiny sliver of light shine through, then it's up to them to seek the light. Forcing them into the light will never work, at some point you'll realize that there are some people that will never come into the light EVER, there are literally people you cannot save. Trust me I've tried You can bring a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
Think of Psychology....You immediately tell someone they're wrong, you're calling for their submission. Most people today are already scared and confused so you don't want to bring on natural defenses. Leave a breadcrumb trail, if they follow it give em more bread. But don't expect them to eat the bread.
