Getting better at Void Meditation is a matter of practice. The more you practice, the easier it will be to still your thoughts. Meditation is like a muscle; the more you use it the stronger it gets. You should open your chakras and empower your astral senses (clairvoyance, etc.) before trying to astral project. If your chakras are blocked and your pineal (the seat of the soul) is nonfunctioning, then that will make trying to astral project extremely frustrating.
