Green man is a pagan God of the Wood. Pan. Cernunos. Especially in England he is called Hermes.

A strong earth elemental, most likely the king of the forest.

I worked with him back in 1998, but it was mainly with plants, and some sexuality.

Oops! my bad there. Your right. But there is some reason why I associated him with an old pagan Celtic deity, aside from the fact that I knew an English girl who told me his name was Hermes.

Here is a quote from a site on Cernunos that probably explains my confusion.
