Franz Bardon Question

I can not help but feel a tremendous amount of gratitude and respect towards Franz Bardon. I have heard he was with the enemy though, hence certain suspicious teachings in his writings.

Although he was at least honest enough of a Mage to admit magick can be used for destructive as well as creative purposes although he disaproved of the black arts himself. This is more than can be said for Wicca and many other occultists who will deliberately mislead people just to reinforce their own subjective values.

Was he deliberately working with the enemy or being misled?

I am confused at how someone as skilled as him could be decieved like that. Just reading his work he sounds like he was almost super human.
But at the same time I have to say, I can't see why anyone with ill intentions towards humanity would make such an effort to get knolwegde out there like he did, especially at a time and in a country where he could of faced persecution for doing so.

So basically my question is was he anti gentile and working with the enemy purposefully or was he benevolent at heart but being decieved like many of our people out there?
