I believe that in order to be able to hear/see/feel what your guardian, providing you have one, is communicating, you must have developed your astral senses to a certain minimum. Patience, work and consistence. Each individual takes a different amount of time to get to a desired result. This (meditating in parallel with physical exercise) is in my opinion the most worthy effort to invest the time you have in. Good luck

So for me, whom can be considered a hobbyist Zevist instead of you folks who are like Olympic-caliber Zevists... What would be a good ritual that will enable me to commune with my Guardian Daemon?

Simple, you won't be directly communicating with your Guardian Daemon any time soon. True direct communication requires completely open and fully functioning astral hearing. Then the ability the discern within the astral. But this does not mean communication is impossible. Focus on either your GD (as a concept if you don't know who they are yet) or on Father Zeus directly and ask to relay a message.
My astral senses are weak as well and this type of communication normally results in strong intuition or gut feelings that lead me straight to the answer I needed. The Gods will find a way to help you understand when direct communication isn't available. I recently had a major problem come under control just less than 2 weeks ago with this exact method.

At first, you must learn and comprehend the general outlook of existence as expressed materially.
Then, you will as you advance yourself start understanding more and more about how the Gods see things, which is drastically different.
As you advance further, you will be able to understand signs sent to you, and then progressively auditorial or intuitive input. One needs very much training on that, to take this lightly can be a disaster.
The first starting point is most important. You must also know, the Gods guide you as is, even if you are not aware of it at first.
