Finances for wife's operation

Hi Zevism Family,
We are in deep shit financially,where my wife's amputation is concerned.
Just talked to the financial office at the hospital,who just informed me that we need to pay 800.00 up front,before they will do the surgery.I only make about 18000.00 dollars a year,and don't have a clue what we are going to do.I am a little concerned,only because I feel that I have let the one I deeply love down.She has to have it done soon,or she could die.Granted she doesn't feel that way,but I do.I also know that Father Satan will not let us down,because He understands,and cares.Any ideas from my spiritual family would be appreciated.I will get on the phone in the morning,and try some suggested agencies,that might be able to help also.

situation. You haven't let her down. I'm sure she knows that you will
do your best to get the money and save her. I wish I could do more to
help you, but I'm not really sure what's best done in this type of

Brian,

Are you in the US? If you are, the hospital is not permitted (by law) to refuse treatment, even on the grounds of inability to pay (if this is a public hospital, I am not certain as to the regs concerning a private one). If it is a public facility, the "payment" section of the hospital should be putting you in touch with "medicredit". Once the bills are turned over to medicredit, you would need to schedule an appointment with them to verify your finances and determine how much "relief" from the debt you would qualify for. I had to go through the same thing when my husband was thought to have had a heart attack. His bills came to over 21,000 and we only had to repay $3000.

Hope this can at least point you in the right direction for assistance.

Sorry for the short message last night.I am defiantly not a geek,and I was just learning how to check the group e-mails,and send messages from my phone.We both do appreciate your concern about my wife's operation,and the excellent suggestion you gave us.I did not even know medicredit existed.As you know they don't volunteer such info to the general public.We did not even find out about the Patiant Advocate Fundation,until I did a lot of searching.We finally got with a state hospital last night,and she is in the system for thier help.So thanks to Father,everything should go well.Thanks again,
