Empowering my pendulum through its aura?

I recently decided to start practicing to become efficient with the use of a Pendulum and also recently learned that different colors can be used to program auras. My question is can I use a Gold and Purple aura to enhance the effectiveness of my Pendulum?

Gold (Great Fortune, intuition, understanding, divination, fast luck, financial benefits, etc.)

Purple (Psychic ability, wisdom, divination, removing curses, healing, psychic work, business success, etc.)
