you shouls concencrate all items used in ritual to prevent any negative energy from interfering in your ritual work

Don't consecrate them if they're only temporary. And don't worry about candle colors... the best thing to do if you don't have proper ritual tools etc is to make an astral temple. They also help you develop your astral senses.
