Did I overdo it?

So, every morning I go to this sun spot for meditation, for the past week I've been meditating there for 1 hour to a hour and a half, but today I did 2 hours, now I got this really bad tan mark on my stomach, I did put on sunscreen, but I guess it didn't really work out, should I stop doing this, or just cut down the hours and the days I go?
