Demon summonings?

This is kinda of a silly series of questions and I think I recall I might have talked about it in some thread a long time ago but the question wasn't answered to my satisfaction, *IF* I recall.

I spent a while re-reading the 'Demons' section of JoS.

And I had the question of "What is the point of summoning a Demon?", silly question. But in a more serious tone what exactly does the Demon or even summoner get from being summoned. For example and I apologize ahead of time if this sounds silly. But if a Demon has attributes you want kinda like in an MMORPG. Then the question becomes "What or HOW is the attribute added to your system?"

And I guess other questions pop up like "How do you know the Demon did the favor you asked?". Also what exactly is a good gift in return, there is energy work, RTRs, rituals, etc.etc. but those things seem like everyday normal not off the cuff things to do. They seem like daily things found among the members we have.

I guess what I'm trying to state is "Does summoning a Demon imply weakness on the part of the summoner?", I can't do X so I summon Y Demon to gain Z scenario or attribute.

Also what if you went a long time without summoning or working with Demons. For example last time I summoned a Demon was probably Spring/Summer of 2019. I think with the amount of times I summoned probably 7-12 Demons within a period of summoning dating back to like 2003/2004 time period when I tried it out. I DID perform at least on one occasion a double summoning whereby I spent 2 days summoning the same Demon to see what would happen.

Mind you guys I'm not spiritual advanced in any way. In fact I kinda harp on myself for not being better. But the question becomes at what point SHOULD Demons be summoned? and as well "How long does the summoning take?"

For example the description is clear in summoning page but the question becomes how long should we recite either mentally or physically, and IF summoned how long should we wait till re-summoning in case nothing occurred.

I guess without sounding disrespectful is how would I know the Demon did something?

I think you are looking at summoning the wrong way. Getting something out of it isn’t the only reason for summoning demons. You can use it to establish a relationship with one, get advice on advancement, or just because you’re curious and want to learn more about the particular demon. Or maybe you are trying to figure out who your guardian demon is.

You ask what the point of doing so is, but it seems like you are only looking at it as what you and the demon get out of it. Think of it as either a business relationship, where you can can establish either a business relation, in the case you want something from each other, or a personal relationship, in the case what you gain from one another is a close friend, or one of mentorship, in which case would be more uneven in that they become a teacher for you. Once you formally establish those relationships with a particular demon, you don’t need to summon them again. It’s a formality. Like a meeting to introduce yourself in a respectful way. From there you can contact them telepathically, if you are open enough.

Even with all this, don’t forget that we are at war. The gods are extremely busy. The gods want to help us and they have given us numerous tools to do so. In my personal opinion, there is little reason to want one of the demons to do something for you, unless the situation is desperate and dire.

If you aren’t very open, be honest with yourself and evaluate your experiences. Enemies looooove to pretend they’re a demon that will do something for you, because when they don’t, you question it. Also our own delusions and wishes of what we desire can get in the way.

If you have made a legit deal, you will know it’s been done because you will get what you wanted. You should work on your advancement, it will make things like this way clearer for you.
