Correct Chakra Alignment

Do the 7 main chakras go through the middle of your body as it looks in the pic on the link....or do they align up with your spine?  I've had sensations visualizing it both ways...a tingling, cold chill sort of sentation feeling of energy running up my back casuing me to shake for as long as I can stay focused on it or keep the energy flowing.   Thanks for your help Pythia   Hail Satan!! I'm still a little confused about the heart chakra. Do the energy
intakes come together and the outputs facing the other chakras. Or do
the the energy outputs come together and the intakes face the other
chakras.
