Is there a way to learn if your bf/gf cheats on you without using a pendulum?

You can try to ask them straight. But not on whatever time but when you think that it is the most right time to ask to get a reply with underlying information in it. It can be a moment when you clearly meet them and see that they pretending, if they was away and don’t say the truth, and etc, can be a best moment to ask this and see the reaction with reply, and how they behave.
And you can also ask your GD. Tune in. Is good to be right after a meditation meditating on GD’s Sigil or after a Gods power ritual when meditating upon the Sigil. To do this without ritual Vibrate His or Her Name letter by letter but full word just slowly and loudly, while feeling the name with your soul and feel the connection with this energy and with respect, adress them with epithets which approves GD’s authority, to get more attention, and kindly honestly ask this.
Then you can stay to meditate and just get lost in void meditation, for a while, if answer will not come yet, then it may come in dreams, or another day, or few days later. Just be open. But after you got the answer don’t rush to do a decision unless the matter is truly serious and demands and if the answer was like a cold hammering completing your all the evidences and if after all, see for yourself if you are good in this relationship and if they are not ruining you or wasting your life.

There isnt really a way of doing it with a pendulum its too unreliable and will just create paranoia or a false sense of security.

I would assume that if you have a good intuition, you'd be able to tell (if they're lying to you). So, working on your sixth chakra and extensions, pineal gland and crown chakra may be able to help you?
Of course, spiritual progress needs time, and you still need to not let your own fears influence your "gut feeling..."
Perhaps in situations like this, a more straightforward approach is the answer (asking them directly), but I have no experience to advice you on how to go about it.
