I, for one, am damn sick of hearing about Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, et al the eight or so people in the public eye who have died recently.
People die. I just had someone very special in my life die. It happens, and we have no tool of measurement or guidance for this sort of thing.
I can't get over the feeling that these celeb deaths are being made such a big deal to distract us from something else. Distracting people is really easy, now especially when most people's tastes are so low and simple (reality shows, contest shows, scandal shows). You can get away with anything on a scandalous individual. You cannot attack the AMA, FAA, other alphabet soups.
We're supposed to be happy that Bernie Madeoff got a 150 year sentence? What about the companies that suck the lifeblood out of people daily, honest working people? We can call them idiots who signed up for credit cards when they had no business doing so, but there was definite miss-representation.
I am a Satanist who thinks social thinning is esential; stratification. I do not spend money I don't have and sure many people deserved what they got for their greed, but the media world right now is not making sense to me. They are focusing on trite shit as usual and not what impacts the vast majority of us.
One of the benefits of keeping your populace working poor is ensuring that they are too busy to protest what is done to them.
I encourage anyone who wants to to get involved in their local politics. You will learn so much. You will also get very angry.
There is no REAL justice anywhere; not yet, and I have to be optimistic that we can build it.
I am getting no feedback from my usual sources. Is this something we humans have to play out ourselves.
Love,
Hail Satan,
Bronwyn
