Can people be Satanists without realizing?

I see quite a lot of similarities between traditional and native shamanism and Satanism. Do you think traditions such as Shamanism, which involve going into trances, allowing their gods to possess and speak and act through them, travelling to the spirit realm and bringing back knowledge, journeying etc, were inspired by the same beings who inspired Satanism? since a child I've had this animal guide appear to me which is a black panther and through research I found out he is the Mayan sun God. I've connected a lot with this animal as a guide and it has also acted as a protector for me. It's told me it's name is Khan. Could this be how my guardian demon has chosen to appear to me?
Can people be following their own path in spirituality and be, being led by the demons you guys call your gods, without realizing or specifically calling them that? 
I see a lot of occult traditions worldwide that share similar themes, so just wondering if people are and can be practicing without specifically calling themselves Satanists and officially being part of theistic Satanism?

Yes that is entirely possible but these individuals will probably not grow in power unless they actually dedicate and open up to Satan unless maybe they have access to the earliest religious documents of their particular culture. I was visited by my Guardian Demon in her true physical form before I was dedicated. Other people sometimes see their GD as a familiar or something so it is possible you found your GD

Well the thing with that is that if someone were powerful enough to be able to communicate with the Demons/Gods, then they would automatically be led by them to Satanism in the first place. It's basically an unanswerable paradox because anybody who is actually communicating with them on their own accord outside of Satanism will be led here anyways because they want us all to be aware of each others' existence and to communicate somewhat without all being vulnerable in one physical place.

I firmly believe Father does "call" His children. The ones He knows should be with HIm.
I felt HIm calling me for years, but didn't know it was HIm until a lot of years later.
