While I can go into a light trance almost immediately (beta state), Im aware that to get to a deep trance takes more time and.. technique? My question bascially is this; Must I do a breath count of 6 or 4 to go into a delta state of mind? (Assuming delta is the deepest and best state of mind to project astrally). If yes, must I have to have the feeling of falling to go into the delta state? While I've experienced this falling sensation before, it was passive as I was normally falling asleep, and never had it happen on command such as falling from a ladder.
Im curious to hear replies.
Because I have been recently experimenting with the deepest posssible trance. My experiment is to get into a deep trance, just beyond the state of sleeping and consciousness without slipping into the hands of sleep and dreams. And I hope I'm not mistaking the delta state for the state of sleeping. I know the state right between consciousness and unconsciousness sleeping is called the "hypothagnic" state. And according to Robert something, the guy who wrote that book on astral projecting said it was the best state for it. (Very specific I know, it's somewhere on the JoS site).
Discuss.
Thank you.
