Blessing the Food

Just simple affirmations. I personally just visualize white gold energy filling it (not sure other colors might be more efficient) and affirm "This food is very nutritious and healthy for me, in the most beneficial way for me", 1-3 times. I often don't say the most beneficial way for me as I don't find it particularly important in this case as you affirm it's healthy for you already.

Do the same with water or anything you consume basically.

I thought of something easier, that can be done by new members too, and also if you eat outside. It's based on a prayer to Lord Zeus, that you can also do mentally.

"O Lord Zeus, O Father, I humbly ask You to bless this food that I'm about to consume, I ask You to bless the food of your Initiated.
May this food only do good to me, may it give me strenght and wellbeing.
Hail Lord Zeus!!!"

What are you experiences? Did you noticed differences in taste? How it felt after a few hours?

I personally never tried that...I'm undecided between doing this or some Magickal Working related to food, like affirmations (as AFODO suggested) or something else entirely. That would be interesting.

HPs, what do you think about the tradition of saying grace/saying prayers before a meal?
It's associated with xianity in modern times, but it certainly predates abrahamic religion. Is it a silly, benign human tradition or is there a greater significance to it?

Would it be appropriate to "say grace" to Furfur, or maybe another deity?

It does come from Pagan days, especially for feasts during the harvest season and holidays. Thanking the Gods for a bountiful harvest, and for having enough food to feed one's household.

You can do it, or even affirm that the food is healthy for you and that your body is assimilating all the nutrients correctly. I've done this, started doing it when I was new but don't always think to do it.

This is very easy you just have to focus on the food when saying the affirmation, visualization is secondary and will naturally came if you are relaxed and experienced.

The difference between blessed and non-blessed.

Blessed felt lighter, purer, you can feel the taste a little better. After a few hours it didn't feel heavy.

Non-blessed it still felt good, but without the above extra benefits, after too.

Longterm it can do the difference I think, for now I just tried the above today.

I'll try 1 month of blessed one, and see if there are changes.

*All-Father

This is the prayer I use now, effective and fast too. Must be said with heart, with passion and by feeling the words.

You will feel the presence of Lord Zeus, and a feeling of bliss, in my experience mainly in the belly region.

But also on head, you will feel like in another deeper dimension, which is related to feeling the presence and the prayer.

"I pray to You O Lord Zeus, O Supreme God, O Father, to bless the food I'm about to eat. Hail Lord Zeus! Hail Lord Furfur!"

You can do this while cooking, before eating, or also after in case.
Without problems you can go to the bathroom, and focus and do the prayer, in case you are with other people or in a restourant, or something like that.

After eating I say:
"Thank You O Lord Zeus, and thank You O Lord Furfur for your Blessings!"

Eating becomes also an occasion to show devotion and to bond with the Divine, as you start and end with a Prayer, and this over all have a lot of benefits.

I wouldn't ask zeus to bless my food. Relaying on others strength is what the week are doing.

It's not a "weak" thing to do so, I allways had beautiful experiences, and never felt any indicators I was doing something bad.

It's week and that's what christians are doing. Always asking for help in everything. This is a small stuff that you should be able to do it yourself.

I don't care about whatever birburim people do outhere, there is nothing weak in bonding with the Gods.

Good luck by not becoming idependent in zevism. I won't leat that this place will become christianized. Christians are slaves and also powerless in managing thair life without god, they bless the food with the power of god and never by their own streanght, thats shows how freedomless and in capable to do the smallest tings, the incapability to do the smallest things also shows they can't do the bigger things in life, we are suposed to be independent here not doing pathetic Christians like actions. And i didn't meant to not bound with Gods but to not engage in christian actions.

Incorporating the power of the Gods into your actions and life is more like mutual collaboration in this case. There also has to be an understanding of how far our world is from the Gods. We need to accept the charity and any interactions we can get with the Gods and forces of Ma'at, rather than gatekeep ourselves based on whether we first have the strength or not. It is not the priority to worry if we are independent relative to the Gods. Instead, more interaction is needed.

Interaction with the Gods, by nature, will develop self-sufficiency and personal power. In regards to asking the Gods for things, petition them without restriction. They will let you know the scope of which they want to help you, or what you should be doing. Work with them, receive their help, and grow.

When you vibrate his name and you have the food in front of you, it's like entering creative mode and changing the whole structure of the food. From bad / decent (depends on what you are eating) to extremely nutritious.

From my experience, from the prayer that I'm using (the latest one I posted), I am the blessed, and indirectly the food I eat is blessed.

Like, I am the central point in this.
