Astral body healing?

While attempting to create a new, much more powerful, form of Magic, I've had an unfortunate accident. In my attempt, I 'overextended' myself and the Magic backfired. I had a combination of Electrical and Gravitational Magic explode in the palm of my left hand. When I returned to my physical body, my left arm was numb but I could still use it.

Attempting to return to my astral body, my arm was unresponsive and looked 'damaged'. When I say damaged, bits of it were missing. I've attempted to heal it and I can say that it's slow and rather painful. Is there a 'faster' way to heal myself? Or am I stuck with learning this the hard way?

I'd do this similarly to repairing holes in the aura: pack white/gold energy into the "missing" and/or "thin" places, programming it to heal your astral body. You could also strengthen this by directing the energy through a Rune. A full and complete repair may take some repetition.

I've done this with my aura where it had gaps or thinness because of injuries, disease, etc., and it works very, very well and also positively affects the physical healing as well. I do this "all the time" whenever I see or sense the need of some repair work.

From my experience it's better to leave an injury like that alone. I remember in my first years i overdid my hand chakras and it felt like the viens and arteries in my hands bursted and i thought i had permanant damage at first, trying to fix it with energy seemed to persist the pain and didn't seem to be helping. it felt like i was tearing what had healed back open.
