The only “group” accepted by the Gods is the Jos; the rest is total nothingness.

Yes, some ascetics don't have a group.

Some groups may have stumbled upon some truth, or honorably follow some principles of the Gods. I do not know if this is the case with the group you mentioned.

Regardless, JoS is the house of the Gods. This is not just a monicker, as we  are directly tasked with the edicts of the Gods, and tasked to be the guiding force for the people to know the Gods.

Having more than one group with that same purpose is counterintuitive and the Gods wouldn't do that.

I see in this life a fulfillment that I long to achieve. The realization of simply being an ascetic and nothing more.

I totally understand the Church of Satan thing, but becoming an ascetic doesn't make me anything else.
As an ascetic I will still be able to practice and do the rituals given.

Can Satan also be the God of the ascetics?
There are countless groups of ascetics who worship Satan.
If I became one, would he give me his blessing?

I was thinking of asceticism as a simple, minimalist life, not to this extent though. You have a valid point.

There are varying forms of asceticism, but they all bleed down to the extremes as the mind, body, and soul becomes deprived. It creates a backlash because the practice goes against your needs and nature as a person.

Some argue that adopting a minimalist lifestyle, often labeling it as asceticism, can help them overcome harmful addictions such as drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and junk food. However, this approach is more about setting boundaries to curb and eliminate harmful habits, than about true asceticism. Living minimally to gain control over negative influences is better described as practicing moderation and self-discipline, rather than embracing the deeper renunciation associated with ascetic practices, which in itself is harmful.

Some ascetics, and perhaps the one in the picture in question, seem to me to have achieved discipline, peace, and a strong mind.

In fact, this one doesn't seem healthy to me, because he doesn't follow the middle diet.
But the mental ability to remain in this state without any disturbance is something I particularly admire.

As an ascetic, I would do my best to eat optimally, drink optimally, and meditate optimally.

Discipline means nothing if you have lost everything in the process. You can just as well exhibit feats of mental strength whilst having masses of wealth, luxury, and pleasure. There is no need to associate this in any way with the negative themes of sexual repression, starvation, or other assaults on the human soul that come from the ascetic path.

The man in the picture, which you reference as "at peace", is actually in a state of dying. For someone to be at peace with this means their soul is actually deranged and has lost the survival instincts that are actually associated with discipline and a strong base chakra.

Ultimately, you can achieve what you are thinking about without following the lies of these Buddhists or other suicidal fanatics. You just have to open your mind to this possibility, as otherwise you are restricting yourself from opportunities which would lead to a more successful advancement path, resulting in much greater character development than the path of restriction and loss.

Material achievement correlates with spiritual advancement; they reflect in each other. Therefore, there would become a limit to your growth if you were only doing meditation and not certain material actions.

That does not mean you cannot alter your life to prioritize Satanism, but doing this specifically along ascetic guidelines would not do this. Maybe you would find a job that allows you more free time to meditate or complete other Satanic projects, rather than leaving civilization entirely or something. This is an example of a more balanced option.
