Some ascetics, and perhaps the one in the picture in question, seem to me to have achieved discipline, peace, and a strong mind.
In fact, this one doesn't seem healthy to me, because he doesn't follow the middle diet.
But the mental ability to remain in this state without any disturbance is something I particularly admire.
As an ascetic, I would do my best to eat optimally, drink optimally, and meditate optimally.
There are different levels of asceticism, and those who reach this level follow a specific doctrine.
Others live in what you might call an ideal way.
Anyway, becoming an ascetic would give me more free time to do what I really like.
